Welcome to FriendJo, operated by Flourixa Technologies Inc., a company incorporated in Canada ("Flourixa", "we", "our", or "us").
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FriendJo platform, website (friendjo.com), and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using FriendJo, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Who We Are
FriendJo is an AI-powered companion and organisational wellbeing platform developed by Flourixa Technologies Inc. It offers personalised AI companions for individual users and a corporate wellbeing intelligence suite for organisations.
Important: FriendJo is not a medical, psychological, or therapeutic service. Our AI companions offer emotional support and conversation, but they are not substitutes for professional mental health care. If you are in crisis, please contact a qualified mental health professional or a crisis helpline in your area.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to use FriendJo.
- If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian's permission.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You may not share your account credentials with anyone else.
- If you create or manage an account on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. Use of the Service
You may use FriendJo only in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

- Use FriendJo for personal emotional support, conversation, and entertainment.
- Use the corporate tier to monitor and improve your organisation's wellbeing in compliance with these Terms.
- Subscribe to premium plans or access additional features as offered.
🚫 You may not:
- Use FriendJo for any illegal, abusive, or harmful activity.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy FriendJo's software, systems, or content.
- Use FriendJo to impersonate others, harass, or spread misinformation.
- Rely on FriendJo output as medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.
- Attempt to bypass or circumvent any security, privacy, or access controls.
4. Corporate Tier: Additional Terms
These additional terms apply to organisations using the FriendJo Corporate Wellbeing tier.
a. IT Administrator Responsibilities
By connecting a workplace integration (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom), the IT administrator confirms that:
- They have the legal authority to connect the integration on behalf of the organisation.
- Employees have been given appropriate notice that behavioural metadata from their workplace tools will be collected and used to generate aggregated organisational wellbeing reports.
- The organisation has a lawful basis for this processing under applicable privacy law.
b. Data Processing Agreement
For corporate customers, Flourixa Technologies Inc. acts as a data processor on behalf of the organisation (the data controller) in relation to employee behavioural data collected through workplace integrations. Use of the workplace integration features constitutes acceptance of our Data Processing Agreement, which is incorporated into these Terms.
c. Wellbeing Data Limitations
- Wellbeing reports are based solely on aggregated, anonymised data. No individual employee metrics are ever exposed.
- Wellbeing reports require a minimum of 4 active team members. Organisations below this threshold will not have access to wellbeing reports.
- Wellbeing data must not be used to make individual employment decisions, disciplinary actions, or assessments of individual employees.
d. Subscription and Billing
- Pricing model: per-user, per-month, billed in CAD.
- Starter tier: $6/user/month, 10-user minimum ($60/month minimum).
- Business tier: $10/user/month, 25-user minimum ($250/month minimum).
- Enterprise tier: $15/user/month, 50-user minimum, custom contract.
- Annual billing on any tier saves 20% versus monthly and is paid upfront.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
5. Content and Ownership
You may provide messages, prompts, and other input ("Input") and receive AI-generated responses ("Output"). Together these are called "Content."
- Your rights: You retain all rights to your Input.
- Our rights: You own the Output generated for you, but Flourixa Technologies Inc. may store and use both Input and Output in anonymised and aggregated form to maintain, improve, and ensure the safety of the Service.
- AI-generated content: Because AI models can generate similar responses for different users, Output may not be unique. You should not represent Output as exclusively your own original work.
To opt out of your Content being used for service improvement, contact us at privacy@flourixatech.com.
6. Accuracy and Limitations of AI
FriendJo uses artificial intelligence. While we strive to provide positive, helpful interactions, AI responses may not always be accurate, appropriate, or complete.
- Chat responses are for emotional support, conversation, and entertainment. They are not professional advice.
- You should not rely on Output for factual accuracy or professional decisions.
- You are responsible for evaluating and interpreting the content you receive.
- FriendJo may generate fictional, incomplete, or incorrect information.
If you feel emotionally distressed, please reach out to a qualified mental health professional, a trusted person in your life, or a crisis helpline in your country.
7. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds
- Billing: Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to provide valid payment information.
- Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: Payments are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable Canadian consumer protection law.
- Price changes: We will provide advance notice of any price changes before your next renewal date.
- Taxes: Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout depending on your location.
8. Termination and Suspension
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:
- You violate these Terms or applicable laws.
- Your account has been inactive for more than 12 months.
- Your activity poses a risk to others, the Service, or Flourixa Technologies Inc.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@friendjo.com.
9. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, software, designs, algorithms, and systems used in FriendJo are the property of Flourixa Technologies Inc. or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or use them for commercial purposes except as expressly permitted by these Terms.
10. Third-Party Services
FriendJo integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), AI model providers (Cerebras, Google Gemini, DeepSeek), and workplace platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom). Each of these services has its own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Canadian law:
- Flourixa Technologies Inc. and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of CAD $100 or the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Flourixa Technologies Inc., its affiliates, and staff against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use or misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which Flourixa Technologies Inc. is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Canada under applicable arbitration rules. You agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis. Class actions or collective claims are not permitted.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice and update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. General Provisions
- You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent.
- If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any Data Processing Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Flourixa Technologies Inc. regarding the Service.
- Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
