1. What FriendJo Is & Isn't
FriendJo is your digital companion, here to chat, encourage, and listen.
FriendJo is not a medical, psychological, or legal professional.
Use FriendJo for emotional support, motivation, or fun conversation — but do not rely on it for medical, legal, or financial advice.
Always verify information from trusted sources when making important decisions.
2. Acceptable Use
✅ You are welcome to:
- Chat honestly and openly with any Friend (Jo, Zara, etc.).
- Use the built-in Share button to post uplifting or fun messages.
- Use the app features as designed (free access, upgrades, tips).
- Contact support if you encounter issues or suspect others are misusing the platform.
3. Prohibited Conduct
These are actions you must not do when using FriendJo:
Illegal or harmful uses
- Promoting violence, hate speech, harassment, or threats.
- Sharing or asking to generate content involving minors in sexual or exploitative contexts.
- Encouraging self-harm, suicide, or dangerous behavior.
Privacy violation
- Sharing or requesting personal, sensitive data (full names, address, phone) about others without consent.
- Attempting to extract others' private content or impersonate someone.
Abuse or manipulation
- Spamming, fraud, phishing, or using FriendJo to mislead others.
- Trying to reverse-engineer or tamper with FriendJo's backend, algorithms, or security.
Unlawful advice or professional claims
- Portraying FriendJo's output as medical, legal, financial, or mental health advice.
- Acting as if FriendJo is a licensed professional.
Disallowed content
- Generating or sharing explicit, violent, or hateful content.
- Repeatedly requesting or distributing copyrighted content you don't own or have permission to use.
4. Moderation & Enforcement
We may monitor or review chats, content, and behavior to enforce these rules.
If you violate guidelines, we may:
- Warn you
- Restrict features
- Suspend or terminate your account
You can appeal moderation decisions by contacting support@friendjo.com.
5. Content Ownership & Usage
- You retain ownership of what you type (Input) and of output generated for you.
- FriendJo may store, analyze, and anonymize your conversations to improve the system, unless you opt out (contact support).
- When you use the "Share" button, the content is formatted for public display — be mindful of what you share.
6. Safety & Boundaries
If at any time you feel distressed, please contact trusted friends, medical professionals, or local crisis lines.
FriendJo can't guarantee perfect responses.
Please evaluate all suggestions or statements from FriendJo critically before acting.
7. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these guidelines over time. We'll give notice in app or via email before changes that materially impact how you interact.
Your continued use constitutes acceptance of the new version.
